The Dispatcher.fr web and mobile app lets you remotely order a piece of equipment from your internal fleet, or hire one.
Costly while it is working, fleet equipment is more so when it’s not, and even more so if hire equipment is preferred. Conscious that it is often difficult to reconcile internal and external management of a fleet of equipment, Maxime Guesné and Julien Fournier created a logistics-support tool dedicated to the various construction site professionals. Their solution is in the tool Dispatcher.fr.
Making online purchases has never been as easy and fast as it is today. Simply select the products you want to put in your shopping basket. Maxime Guesné and Julien Fournier were inspired by this technology, choosing to adapt it to the world of construction and public works. These two young engineers, both with experience working for consultancies in industry and construction, have indeed launched a web and mobile platform destined for equipment users on construction sites. Their service, Dispatcher.fr, makes it possible to book and transport plant to your place of work in just a few clicks. These stages, often requiring multiple telephone conversations between different site staff, can be carried out remotely and rapidly.
From the Dispatcher.fr app installed on a smartphone, the site supervisor is able to instantly provide the features of plant required to carry out the different works, to the person in charge of the company’s plant. The web interface provides a schedule and a location for each of the required pieces of equipment. In addition to facilitating the transport of equipment, this feature also makes it possible to optimise the use of internal fleet. Additionally, when a machine is selected, the application lets you know the most suitable company operators able to take the controls.
Its use, however, doesn’t stop at equipment management, or even HR management, on a site. The online platform exploits different booking-scheduling data to transform into a helpful decision-making tool. Analysing free time, use and unavailability lets you quickly ascertain how much a piece of equipment is used in order, in the long term, to strengthen or decrease the fleet. Dispatcher.fr also has a function that alerts the business, or the hire company, when the plant item has arrived or if there is a breakdown. Additionally, the platform offers direct access to hire companies listed by the business or, if not, those that also use this service.
As well as increasing visibility for hire companies, the online tool facilitates and accelerates approaches by digitising hire documentation. All hire-related data is saved and thereby facilitates invoice controls. The use of this app is, however, not only reserved for companies with a large fleet of equipment and a high number of employees. Dispatcher.fr’s partners already offer different levels of scalable subscriptions tailored to the number of users.
